Kaveh Rahnama and Lauren Hendry set up So & So Circus Theatre in 2005 whilst working on the degree program at The Circus Space, London. In 2007 they won the Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award for Circus Arts.

Kaveh began as a juggler with Albert & Friends Instant Circus in 1995. Lauren trained and competed for Inverness Gymnastics Club in both national and international competitions until 2004.

They are keen collaborators and are always looking for new ways to approach their work. In the past they have worked with numerous directors and collaborators including Mish Weaver (Stumble Dance Circus), Vicki Amedume (Upswing Aerial), Natasha Khamjani, Flick Ferdinando (Company FZ), Liam Steele and Rob Tannion (Stan won't Dance), Kristine Landon-Smith (Tamasha), and Rufus Norris. They have also taken residencies at Jacksons Lane, Farnham Maltings, and The Corn Exchange, Newbury.

So & So's shorter acts are pure entertainment from start to finish and have been performed all over the country. The Hot Dots, was developed in 2008 with director Abigail Dooley at Sadlers Wells and then Jacksons Lane, London. In 2009 they will continue working on the piece with a new director, Kristine Landon-Smith and the piece will tour throughout the year.

So & So also produce a cabaret show, Look What I found in the Attic, which features nine other acts including hula hoops, juggling, trapeze, aerial hoop, acrobatics and the funniest man you will ever see. Please see the calendar page for details of forthcoming shows.

So & So are passionate about developing circus as an art form in the UK and both teach on the youth and adult programmes at The Circus Space, as well as running the Croydon Youth Circus in conjunction with The Croydon Clocktower. They also offer one off or longer courses for other companies.
